Brown Brothers – Awards

Awards National Wine Show of Australia 2011

The Dan Murphy’s National Wine Show of Australia, held in Canberra, is considered to be the most prestigious in Australia.

Unlike many other wine shows, the wines entered into the National Wine Show must qualify through gaining top results at Australian regional and capital city wine events.

The skills of the Brown Brothers winemaking team shone on the night with the 2009 Patricia Noble Riesling picking up The Royal National Capital Agricultural Society Trophy for Best Sweet or Medium Sweet White Wine.

Brown Brothers winemakers, Cate Looney and Geoff Alexander attended the presentation to collect this trophy and also received the following gold medals:

2005 Brown Brothers Patricia Pinot Noir Chardonnay
2009 Brown Brothers Limited Release Heathcote Shiraz
2009 Brown Brothers Patricia Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2009 Brown Brothers Patricia Chardonnay received a silver medal.

The 2008 Brown Brothers Patricia Chardonnay, the 2008 Brown Brothers Patricia Noble Riesling, the 2011 Brown Brothers Limited Release Prosecco, the 2009 Brown Brothers Limited Release Durif and the 2009 Brown Brothers Cabernet Sauvignon won Bronze medals.
